Privacy policy

Last updated · 5 July 2026

This policy explains how Sendmoi Ltd handles personal data and what your rights are under UK data protection law, including the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018. It is provided as a plain-language summary and should be reviewed by a qualified adviser before you rely on it.

Who we are

Sendmoi Ltd is the data controller responsible for your personal data. We are a company registered in England and Wales, company number 16008012. Sendmoi Ltd is the parent company of two trading studios, Mekit Media and MekitBuild. You can contact us about anything in this policy by email at hello@sendmoi.co.uk.

What data we collect

This website does not have a contact form, an account system, or a shopping basket, so we do not ask you to submit personal data through the site. If you choose to email us at the address above, we receive the information you put in that email, such as your name, your email address, and whatever you tell us. Like most websites, our hosting provider may record basic technical data automatically, such as your internet protocol (IP) address, browser type, and the pages you request. This is standard server logging used to keep the site running and secure.

How we use your data

We use the contents of any email you send us to reply to you and to deal with your enquiry, including passing it to the right studio where relevant. We use technical server logs to operate the website, diagnose problems, and protect against misuse. We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use it for automated decision making or profiling.

Legal basis

Where you email us, our legal basis is our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries and running our business, and, where an enquiry leads to a contract, the steps taken at your request before entering into that contract. Where the law requires us to keep certain records, our legal basis is compliance with a legal obligation.

Cookies

This website does not set advertising or tracking cookies. If we add analytics or any non-essential cookies in future, we will update this policy and, where required, ask for your consent first.

Sharing your data

We do not share your personal data with third parties for their own marketing. We may share data with service providers who help us run the business, such as our email and website hosting providers, and only so far as they need it to provide that service. We may also disclose data where we are required to by law.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiry emails for as long as needed to deal with the enquiry and for a reasonable period afterwards in case of follow up, then delete them. Where the law sets a minimum retention period, for example for tax or accounting records, we keep the relevant data for that period.

International transfers

Our providers may process data outside the United Kingdom. Where they do, we rely on safeguards recognised under UK data protection law, such as adequacy regulations or standard contractual clauses, so your data keeps a similar level of protection.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you have the right to access a copy of your data, to ask us to correct it, to ask us to delete it, to restrict or object to how we use it, and, where relevant, to data portability. You can exercise any of these rights by emailing hello@sendmoi.co.uk. We will respond within the time limits set by law.

Complaints

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data, please contact us first so we can try to put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), the UK supervisory authority, at ico.org.uk.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the date at the top of this page. Please check back occasionally so you are aware of any updates.
